We understand that no other single system in your home plays a larger role in your comfort or how much your utility bill will be than your air conditioning and heating system. That is why we specialize in high efficiency comfort systems to include gas, electric, and heat pumps.
We provide annual Service and Efficiency Maintenance agreements, which include assessing your air conditioning and heating system to evaluate its energy efficiency.
We install TRANE air conditioning and heating systems, and service all makes and models.
Air Quality and Ventilation
We perform "Whole House Diagnostics", which allows us to determine the sources of air infiltration and exfiltration (Leak check).
Indoor air pollution can affect your family’s health. We supply and install air cleaners and humidifiers, and properly sized duct systems.
We perform air balancing to ensure proper air distribution.
We perform Manual J load calculations to determine proper equipment sizing.
We install power attic ventilators and soffit vents for additional attic ventilation when necessary.
Communication
We distribute a quarterly newsletter to our current customers including tips and coupons for the season. Additional mailers may be distributed if special offers or changes in the industry occur.
Controls & Zoning
We can service, install, or replace zone controls for multi-zoned homes.
We can install or replace any brand or type of thermostat, including programmable and touch-screen programmable.
Insulation & Duct Work
BLOWN INSULATION - We can blow-in "InsulSafe" fiberglass insulation to attics. Whether adding on to your existing insulation or a new job.
DUCT CLEANING - Not only do we repair, seal and replace duct work, but we can inspect the interior of your duct work with special cameras and clean it as well. We use "RotoBrush" equipment. Sanitizing is included with our service.
Radiant Barriers
What is Radiant Barrier? Heat penetrates buildings in three ways: conduction, convection and radiation. Radiation is the transfer of heat by electromagnetic waves known as radiation. Thermal radiation is a form of invisible light that travels through the air from a warm to a cool surface. Warm surfaces, such as roof decks warmed by the sun, will radiate or emit their heat to cooler interior building surfaces. Radiant barriers address heat flows by radiation. A radiant barrier is a low-e surface placed in the path of thermal radiation that blocks heat transfer.
"HeatBloc-75" is an aluminum colored, water-based, low emissivity (low-e) coating. When applied to building materials such as plywood, OSB or plasterboard, HeatBloc-75 lowers their surface emissivity to 0.25 or lower, thereby blocking 75% of the radiant heat trying to enter the home.
What is Emissivity? Emissivity is the ability of a surface to radiate or emit energy in the form of long wave electromagnetic radiation. It is represented by a value from 0-1. The closer the value is to 1, the less effective the surface is at impeding radiant heat transfer. Wood has an emissivity of 0.90. Thus, when wood is heated above the temperature of surrounding surfaces, it will tend to transfer 90% of its heat energy by radiation. HeatBloc-75, when applied to most non-porous surfaces, will decrease the surface emissivity to 0.25 or lower, allowing only 25% of the heat energy to be transferred by radiation.
HeatBloc-75 does not loose its effectiveness over time like some radiant barriers. Foils can tear and require the staples to penetrate the barrier. Foil chips can accumulate dust, which diminishes their effectiveness.
Service Agreements
Our annual residential Service and Efficiency Agreement or SEA, includes two clean and checks, 15% off all parts for repair, and there are no overtime fees during the term of the year agreement.
Spring Cooling Check = Check thermostat operation, bearings, condenser drain lines and drain pans, & freon level. Inspect/ Replace customer provided air filters. Lubricate moving parts, as needed. Test all safety controls and devices. Test, secure and tighten all electrical connections, and terminals. Activate cooling system. Test all motors, start capacitors and potential relays. Test, measure, and record operating temperatures, and pressures. Inspect blower and fan assembly. Test humidifier operation and set damper, switches, and valves. Wash condenser coil and evaporator; when readily accessible. Provide written analysis of our findings along with any recommendations that we may have.
Fall Heat Check = Check thermostat operation, bearings, combustion, Flue, and blower compartments and motors, vacuum inside as needed. Check the freon levels on heat pumps only. Test all safety controls and devices. Test, secure and tighten all electrical connections, and terminals. Lubricate moving parts, as needed. Inspect/ Replace customer provided air filters. Activate heating system. Electronically test for poisonous deadly carbon monoxide gas. Clean burners and pilot assemblies. Inspect heat exchanger(s), flue assembly, and draft diverters. Provide written analysis of our findings along with any recommendations that we may have.
Whole House Diagnostics
These tests are perfect for families with ALLERGIES, Asthma, excessive dust conditions, and/or high energy bills allowing us to pinpoint the sources and correct them.
We pressurize your home revealing sources of air leakage, infiltration or exfiltration.
We test your duct work and can-lights (the majority of all leaks are from these two sources) for leaks and can properly seal them.
We offer several different levels of testing.
